What changed

New feature

Looks — save and reapply complete creative styles

Looks are full creative snapshots. They capture your effect type, all filter settings, background, blending mode, and colour grading in a single saved state. 17 built-in Looks ship with v1.3: Arcade, Japanese, Static, Prism, Acid Rain, Mosaic, Voxel, Terminal, and more. Hit one and everything changes at once — no tweaking required. Pro users can save unlimited custom Looks and sync them across sessions.

New feature

Duotone — two-colour image grading

Duotone maps your image's shadow and highlight tones to two colours you pick. The result is a striking two-tone visual that works independently of the pixel effects — layer Duotone under Halftone, Dither, or any other effect. The colour picker supports hex, HSB sliders, and eyedropper sampling directly from your image.

New feature

LED, Voxel & Lattice pixel effects

LED renders your image as a grid of glowing LED dots — each pixel becomes a circular light source. Voxel builds a three-dimensional block representation, as if the image were made of stacked cubes. Lattice traces the image's tonal structure through a connecting grid of lines and nodes. All three are fully animatable in v1.3.

New feature

Animated effects with video export

All pixel effects now support animation. Each effect has its own animation behaviour — ASCII characters drift and cycle, halftone dots pulse in and out, Bayer patterns shift phase. Control speed, intensity, and cycle duration from the animation panel. Pro users can export the animated result as MP4.

New feature

500+ backgrounds & 30 Remix moods

The background library grows to 500+ images across new MIRRORS and AURA packs. Remix is now driven by 30 named mood pools — each mood curates a range of effects, filters, and colour grades. The result is more consistent: every Remix feels intentional rather than random, and hitting Shuffle within a mood gives variations that stay coherent.

Getting started with Looks

Pick any built-in Look, then hit Remix to generate a variation within that style. Adjust one or two things, then save as your own named Look — it'll be there every session if you're Pro.

How Duotone compatibility works

Duotone runs as a colour pass before pixel effects are applied. When you use Duotone with a vector-style effect (Halftone, Dots, Lego, Lattice, or Characters), some filter controls that modify pixel-level rendering have no meaningful effect and are disabled: Glow, Shift, Pixelate, Opacity, and Blur. Switch to Dither or Bayer and all controls re-enable immediately.
